Maybe it is a bit too cold for leatherbacks??
It was very cold 51 degrees on the beach last night. I really did not like being out there all night, but a bonfire started by a group of kids on spring break eased the pain! I guess the turtles thought it was too cold to nest. Maybe tonight?
There are now two nests recorded in our survey area. We will be out every night for the rest of the season.....
