Was there an improvement in the injuries during Venus's internesting interval? Does she look like she's healing at all?
yes! it was really encouraging to see actually. we were hoping that we'd get to see Venus this week - she took 11 days to come back and nest (that's normal). she was looking stronger and the wound had closed up somewhat, with connective tissue growing in the fissure. we were pretty amazed that she looked that much better in such a short time. with any luck we'll get another look at her if she has another clutch left for this season. but we are really pleased and happy about the progress in her healing! thanks for checking in with us....
